STAAR Theatre to Stage Classic Musical “Grease” with a Fun Twist

STAAR Theatre is excited to announce its upcoming production of the beloved musical “Grease” set to take the stage at 7 p.m. on November 8-9 and 15-16, with a special matinee performance on November 10 at 2 p.m.

In a refreshing twist, this production of “Grease” will feature an all-adult cast, with every role being played by actors aged 30 and over. Director Stan Pierchoski shared that this approach comes in response to requests from the community.

“The public has been asking for a musical that would allow the talented adult actors in the South Central Tennessee and North Alabama region to showcase their acting, singing, and dancing abilities,” Pierchoski said. “We’re thrilled to bring this idea to life with such an iconic show.”

“Grease” is a timeless musical set in the 1950s, following the story of Danny Zuko and Sandy Olsson as they navigate the complexities of high school romance, friendship, and the cultural shifts of the era. With unforgettable songs like “Summer Nights,” “Greased Lightnin’,” and “You’re the One That I Want,” this production is sure to bring nostalgia and excitement to audiences of all ages.
