Michael McEvilly’s 8-week improv class that has been offered this fall at STAAR Theatre will culminate in a showcase on Nov. 2, which is free to the public.

This class offered something for everyone. Michael McEvilly, with over 20 years of experience in the improv scene across Southern California and Tennessee, led students through a dynamic mix of warm-ups, exercises and performance games designed to sharpen a student’s improv skills. Students learned to craft compelling scenes, develop characters and enhance their ability to listen and respond in the moment—key skills not just in acting but in everyday communication.
