Auditions for STAAR’s Nutcracker with a Twist will be held on Saturday, September 16th. 1-2 p.m. for dancers with no experience, 2-3 p.m. for those with up to 4 years dance experience, and 3-4 p.m. for dancers with 5 or more years dance experience. Kindergarten through adults are needed for this production. “Nutcracker with a Twist” will be directors Mary Ann Trimble and Sandy Slayton-Mavrotheris’ own rendition of the holiday favorite. It will include the traditional story as well as some fun new adventures for Clara. A rehearsal schedule will be available at auditions and days and times will depend on the dance number in which dancers are cast. Auditions will be held next door to STAAR Theater in the new STAAR Studio. Those wishing to audition should come prepared to dance with appropriate clothing and shoes. Performances will be held for one weekend only, November 17,18,19.
