What to Expect:
- Two-Hour Classes: Every class is structured to get you into your creative flow, starting with warm-ups, moving into focused exercises, and finishing with high-energy performance games.
- Master the Basics of Scene Work: Michael will guide you through the fundamental components of a scene to help it flow seamlessly and keep it moving forward.
- Key Themes: You’ll dive into essential improv principles like:
- Active Listening: Be present and respond to your scene partners in real time.
- One Idea, One Emotion: Keep it simple but powerful—learn how to commit fully to the moment.
- Character Development: Bring your characters to life with depth, clarity, and authenticity.

The class will culminate in a small showcase where you can show off everything you’ve learned in front of your family and friends.

With over 20 years of experience in the improv scene in both Southern California and Tennessee, Michael is a seasoned teacher, director, and performer. He’s trained with some of the best in the business, including at Upright Citizens Brigade, Spectacles Improv Engine, The Pack Theater, and IO West.
As an Improv Teacher , Michael brings his wealth of knowledge, passion, and energy to each class, ensuring you’ll leave feeling empowered and inspired. His focus on commitment to ideas, active listening, and being fully in the moment will transform how you perform—on stage and in everyday life.
